FRONT OF COIN..
On the front of the coin is the familiar image of Captain Moroni rallying
his troops while waving the Title of Liberty over his head.
Across the top is engraved:
"Minted in the year of our Lord 2012"".
Across the bottom left is engraved:
This term comes from the Book of Mormon, Alma Chapter 11:11 "And an
amnor of silver was as great as two senums". While none of us truely
know the weight of Silver that an Amnor was, we decided on this as it added
a distintive LDS flavor to the coin.
Across the bottom right is engraved:
"1 oz .999 Fine Silver"
establishing the true weight and purity of this coin.
BACK OF COIN
"Title of Liberty",
"In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives,
and our children"
This phrase comes from the Book of Mormon, Alma 46:12 "And it came to pass that he rent his coat; and he took
a piece thereof, and wrote upon it—In memory of our God, our religion,
and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children—and he fastened
it upon the end of a pole."
Across the top is engraved.
"When ye are in the service of your fellow beings"
This phrase comes from the Book of Mormon, Mosia Chapter
2:17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom;
that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are
only in the service of your God"
Across the bottom:
"Ye are only in the service of your God"
NOTE ABOUT COIN GRADES:
The Captain Moroni coins are available in 3 different grades.
You have selected the economy BULLION grade of coin.
This is the best grade to select for emergency/preparedness use, as it offers the lowest cost per ounce of Silver.
Minor cosmetic blems are common on this "Bullion" grade of coin, as the coins drop from the press into catch buckets.
Bullion grade coins are only struck once on the press, and do not have the same quality of releif as the proof grade does.
This is a coin that was minted as a "Proof", but failed the final quality check.
It will be noticibly nicer than the bullion grade, but will contain at least 1 minor defect, scratch or blem that restricts it from being a proof.
This is hand struck, a Mint-State Proof coin with no visible defects, sealed in a clear capsule case.
Proof grade coins are repeatedly struck several times on the press, yeilding the highest level of detail and releif possible.
This is a collector grade coin.
